Short answers about the workshops and about bringing one to your group. If yours is not here, ask at the bottom of the page.
About the workshops
Do we need to know a lot about AI first?
No. First-timers are welcome. Sessions are set to the room’s starting point, and if you have used ChatGPT a few times, that is plenty.
Which AI tool do you teach?
The one that fits the task and what you already have. The methods carry across ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot and Gemini.
Is my business information safe in a workshop?
What you share with an AI provider is up to you. I work with the tools you already use, so if you have a provider you trust, use that one.
How long is a workshop?
Ninety minutes for most. The technical workshop can run as a half day for a team that wants to leave with it running.
Is this only for Austin?
No. I teach in person in Austin and online for groups elsewhere.
Do you teach online?
Yes. Online sessions are shaped for a call rather than a room, so the format and content differ from the in-person workshops. Tell me who would be on the call and what you want them to leave with, and I will suggest what fits.
What does it cost?
It depends on the group and the format. Send a message and I will ask a few questions first.
Bringing one to your group
How many people can attend?
Hands-on works best with about ten to thirty people. A larger room gets a talk with one exercise everyone does at their seat.
Who pays when a group hosts a workshop?
Hosts pay directly, bring a sponsor, or charge participants. I ask a few questions and propose terms in writing.
What do we need to provide?
A room with a screen and reliable wifi, a rough count of who is coming, and for hands-on sessions a laptop per person with an account for the AI tool they use.
Can you tailor it to our industry?
Yes, when I can use examples from the participants’ own tasks.
