You’ve tried AI. Now you want it to be useful.

You have already used ChatGPT or a tool like it. You asked it questions, drafted an email or two, maybe paid for a few seats. Then it stalled. A few people use it. Nobody can say what it changed.

That is a normal place to be. Trying it is common. Making it part of the work is still rare. I’m Jonathan Malkin, an AI educator and builder in Austin, Texas. I teach owners, executives and their teams to solve real business problems with AI, and I build solutions when needed.

What usually helps

  • Start with one recurring task.

Pick work that comes back every week and gets rebuilt from scratch each time. A strategy can wait until one task works.

  • Put the information where people and AI can both find it.

AI gives general answers when it has general information. Your procedures, your customer questions and your priorities are what make the answers yours.

  • Teach the team on their own work.

People keep using what they built themselves in the room. Demos of someone else’s work fade by Monday.

  • Keep a person responsible for the result.

AI drafts and prepares. Someone on your team reviews and decides.

  • Use what you already pay for first.

Check your existing software before buying something new or building something custom.

Three ways to work together

  • Workshops

Ninety-minute sessions for owners, executives and their teams. Each ends with something you can use.

  • For your members

A session for a chamber, an association, a peer group or a portfolio of companies.

Bring a workshop to your members
  • When something needs building

Some problems need more than a workshop. It starts with a conversation about the problem.

    Tell me about it

Common questions

  • Do we need to know a lot about AI first?

No. First-timers are welcome. Sessions are set to the room’s starting point, and if you have used ChatGPT a few times, that is plenty.

  • Which AI tool do you teach?

The one that fits the task and what you already have. The methods carry across ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot and Gemini.

  • Is my business information safe in a workshop?

What you share with an AI provider is up to you. I work with the tools you already use, so if you have a provider you trust, use that one.

  • How long is a workshop?

Ninety minutes for most. The technical workshop can run as a half day for a team that wants to leave with it running.

  • Is this only for Austin?

No. I teach in person in Austin and online for groups elsewhere.

  • Do you teach online?

Yes. Online sessions are shaped for a call rather than a room, so the format and content differ from the in-person workshops. Tell me who would be on the call and what you want them to leave with, and I will suggest what fits.

  • What does it cost?

It depends on the group and the format. Send a message and I will ask a few questions first.
